Since 2000 Pantone, an american firm, chooses the Color of the Year. That color which will influence the products developed by different industries: fashion, interior design, industrial design and graphic design.
The color is choosen after months of research: a team of experts travel around the world to understand which color tones are most popular. The starting points which determine the choice came from different spheres: destinations, art collections, fashion shows, design in all its forms, but also from lifestyles, game styles and socio-economic conditions.
In fact not everyone knows that the color choosen reflects what happens in society. About it Leatrice Eiseman, Executive Director of Pantone Color Institute, commented in this way:

In general, blue is a color that has the ability to generate a sense of relaxation that brings balance in the emotionale sphere, so much so that it can stabilize the heart rate and keep pressure under control, warding off the sens of anxiety.
